Nevada Hemp Panel Report Awaits Commission Action Before November 9

A Nevada advisory subcommittee's proposed 21+ age limit and product registration for consumable hemp awaits full-commission action, while California's new beverage labeling law takes effect in 2027.

WEST, October 12, 2026: Nevada's Cannabis Advisory Commission has until November 9 to transmit its consumable hemp recommendations, which include a 21-and-older purchase age and registration of manufacturers and products, according to Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board records of its Consumable Hemp Subcommittee. The subcommittee's report was completed September 14, and no full-commission action on it has been reported.

In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom's signing of Assembly Bill 2532 on or about September 30 sets labeling and measuring-device requirements for multi-serving cannabis beverages beginning July 1, 2027, according to Marijuana Moment. The state's 10mg per-serving THC limit is unchanged.

In Arizona, the Court of Appeals has not ruled on the Hemp Industry Trade Association of Arizona's special action against Attorney General Kris Mayes' position that intoxicating hemp products be sold only through licensed dispensaries, according to the most recent coverage available.
